1-Minute Binary Options Strategies: Five Setups That Work on OTC Charts (and the Ones That Don't)

Five practical setups for 60-second binary trades on Bynix's OTC markets — level bounce, moving-average pullback, RSI snap-back, breakout retest and the candle-close entry — with exact rules, the markets they suit, and why most 1-minute strategies fail on payout maths alone.

1-Minute Binary Options Strategies: Five Setups That Work on OTC Charts (and the Ones That Don't)

The 1-minute expiry is the most popular and the most misunderstood trade in binary options. It is fast, it fits a phone screen, and the OTC markets on Bynix make it available at any hour. It is also where random clicking loses money fastest. These five setups have clear rules; the section at the end explains why the rules matter more than the setup.

First, the maths you cannot skip

At a 90% payout you need to win 52.6% of your trades just to break even; at 80% it is 55.6%. Every 1-minute strategy lives or dies on those two or three percentage points, which is why each setup below includes a skip rule. Not trading is a position. (Full explanation: payout percentages and break-even.)

Setup 1 — level bounce

  • Mark the last hour's high and low on the 5-minute chart.
  • On the 1-minute chart, wait for a candle to touch the level and close back inside.
  • Trade the bounce, 1-minute expiry. Skip if the three candles before the touch are all large and in the same direction.
  • Markets: forex OTC, Gold OTC.

Setup 2 — moving-average pullback

  • Add a 20 EMA to the 1-minute chart. Trade only when price is clearly on one side of it and the EMA is sloping.
  • Wait for a pullback that touches the EMA and prints a candle closing back in the trend direction.
  • Enter with the trend, 1-minute expiry. Skip if the EMA is flat.
  • Markets: crypto OTC, V75 / V100.

Setup 3 — RSI snap-back

  • RSI (period 7) on the 1-minute chart. Signal when it crosses back from above 80 or below 20.
  • Enter against the extension the moment RSI re-crosses the line, 1-minute expiry. Skip in a strong trend (price far above a rising EMA) — extremes stay extreme there.
  • Markets: forex OTC pairs, Silver OTC.

Setup 4 — breakout retest

  • A full-bodied candle closes through a level from Setup 1.
  • Wait for price to return and touch the broken level. Enter in the breakout direction on the touch, 1-minute expiry.
  • Skip if the retest comes more than five candles later — the momentum is gone.
  • Markets: crypto OTC.

Setup 5 — the candle-close entry

Not a signal, a discipline: whichever setup fires, enter in the last 5 seconds of the current 1-minute candle, so your trade covers exactly one full candle rather than the tail of one and the head of the next. Bynix's Time mode lets you pick the exact close time; the candle countdown sits under the chart.

What does not work at 1 minute

  • Martingale (doubling after a loss). It converts a small edge into an occasional wipe-out. The account-level trade limits exist for a reason.
  • Trading the news. OTC markets do not react to headlines the way real markets do; the "news spike" you are waiting for is not coming.
  • More than one market at a time. At 60 seconds you cannot read two charts. Pick one.
  • Trading without a stop. Three losses in a row → close the app for an hour. Write it on paper if you have to.

Run each setup for 50 demo trades on the free demo and keep only the ones that beat the break-even rate for the market's payout. Then read risk management for binary options before the first real trade.
